| The Ghost Ship Lawsuit In 1942 writers Norbert Faulkner and Samuel R. Golding claimed they submitted their play "The Man and His Shadow" to RKO Pictures for consideration. In 1943 the Lewton film The Ghost Ship premiered and Faulkner and Golding brought a plagiarism lawsuit against RKO and Lewton. The two writers were willing to settle but Lewton refused to make any sort of compromise and the case was brought to trial. |
